Harrisburg, March 16, 2020 – State Senator John Yudichak (I-Luzerne/Carbon) announced today that the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Pittston will receive $500,000 from the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency for the Lofts @ Oak and Main project.
“Located in the heart of Pittston, the Lofts @ Oak and Main will bring much needed housing and commercial space to the vibrant downtown corridor,” said Senator John Yudichak. “I sincerely appreciate Governor Wolf and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency for their support in helping to revitalize the city of Pittston.”
The project will support the construction of a new 33,000 square foot three story mixed use building. The site is jointly owned by the North East Pennsylvania Land Bank Authority, the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Pittston and the city of Pittston. When completed, the building will consist of sixteen apartments and 11,000 square feet of commercial space.
Funding for this project was made available through the Community Revitalization Fund Program (CRFP) via the Mixed-Use Development Tax Credit.
