Senator John Yudichak Statement on Luzerne County Entering the Green Phase on June 19

Harrisburg, June 12, 2020 – State Senator John Yudichak (I-Luzerne/Carbon) offered the following statement regarding Luzerne County entering the green phase on June 19:

“I am pleased that Luzerne County will be entering the green phase of Governor Wolf’s plan next Friday, and I commend our residents for their patience and perseverance throughout the pandemic. With nearly two million Pennsylvanians out of work and more than half a million small businesses closed down by executive order, it’s time we invest in the people who have been forced to sacrifice a great deal and get our economy growing again.   Our health care workers have done a tremendous job at mitigating the spread of the novel coronavirus and saving lives.  While we all understand the COVID-19 pandemic remains with us and we must continue to be responsible about containing the virus, I believe that we are in a good position in Luzerne County to safely reopen our economy.”
